Kinds of Conjunction

दो तरह से होते है है Conjunction

  • Coordinating  conjunction
  • Subordination conjunction

Coordinating Conjunction

And , but ,or, nor, for,yet,so, as well as , wither … or, neither .. nor, both ..and, not only.. but also only, then ,therefore ,no less than, otherwise , or else, still, while/ whereas, nevertheless, etc. को Coordinating Conjunction कहते है.

in sentence को देखे:-

  • Aman and Karan were playing cricket.
  • You and I are students.
  • Seema and I went to Patna.
  • I love you and your brothers.
  • My father is rich and honest.
  • She speaks loudly and fluently.
  • The frog lives in water and on land.
  • Amit is good but her uncle is bad.
  • She is the student whoi lives in Surat and whose beloved lives in Ahmadabad.

ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में अपने देखा की coordination conjunction – and , but का प्रयोग दो nouns , दो pronouns, एक noun or एक pronoun , एक pronoun or एक noun, दो adjectives , दो adverbs,दो phrase,दो sentence तथा do clause दो जोड़ने के लिए किया गया है. ये समन श्रेणी के शब्द है.

Kinds of Coordinating conjunction

Cumulative or copulative conjunctionas- and, both.. and, as well as, No less than, Not only,.. but also
Alternative or , Disjunctive conjunctionas- or,either ,.. or,neither,.nor ,otherwise ,else.
Adversative conjunctionsas- but, still, yet, nevertheless, whereas, while, only.
Illative conjunctionas-for, therefore, so, consequently.

Cumulative or copulative conjunction 

वे coordinating conjunction जो एक statements को sure statement से जोड़ने के लिए प्रयुक्त होते है Cumulative or copulative conjunction कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • And :- Trust in God and do the right.
  • Both.. and :- He was both friend and imprisoned.
  • no less than :- She no less than her lover is innocent..
  • not only .. but also:- She was not only foolish but also obstinate.

Alternative or , Disjunctive conjunction

वे coordinating conjunction जो दो alternative choice देने के लिए प्रयुक्त होते है वो Alternative or , Disjunctive conjunction कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • or :- She must weep or she will die.
  • either ,.. or :- Either she is mad or she feigns madness.
  • neither…nor:- Neither a borrower nor a lender be.
  • otherwise/else :- Work hard, else or  otherwise you will not pass.

Adversative conjunctions

वे coordinating conjunction जो एक statements के बीच opposition or contrast के भाव को express करते है Adversative conjunctions कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • but :- He is slow , but he is steady.
  • still /yet:- She was annoyed , still /yet she kept quiet.
  • nevertheless :- She had no chance of success , nevertheless she persevered.
  • whereas, while :- She is beautiful.whereas/ while her friend are ugly.
  • only:- She was all right, only she was fatigued.

Illative conjunction 

वे coordination conjunction जो  Inference के भाव को express करते है Illative conjunction कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • For :- She will pass for she work very hard.
  • Therefore:- She was found stealing and therefore she was arrested.
  • so/ consequently :-  Vinay did not work , so or consequently he failed.

Subordinating Conjunction

As, because, since, if , thought, although, that, before, after, till, until,unless, whether, less, as if, in case , so that , as long as, as soon as, which , when, where, why, how,as though etc को Subordinating Conjunction  कहलाते है ।जैसे:-.

  • Conjunction of time
  • Conjunction of cause or reason
  • Conjunction of result or consequence
  • Conjunction of purpose
  • Conjunction of condition
  • Conjunction of  concession or contrast
  • Conjunction of  comparison
  • Conjunction of  extent or manner

Conjunction of Time 

वे subordinating conjunctions जो adverb clause of time को introduce करते है, Conjunction of time कहलाते है ।जैसे:–

  • Before , after, since, till/until, as soon as, while so long as , when, as, whenever .

Conjunction of Cause or Reason

वे subordinating conjunctions जो adverb clause of cause or reason को introduce करते है Conjunction of Cause or Reason कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • Because , since, as

Conjunction of result or consequence 

वे subordinating conjunctions जो adverb clause of result or consequence को introduce Conjunction of result or consequence कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • that

Conjunction of  purpose

वे subordinating conjunctions जो adverb clause of purpose को introduce करते है Conjunction of  purpose कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • that ,so that, lest, in order that

Conjunction of condition

वे subordinating conjunctions जो adverb clause of condition को introduce करते है Conjunction of condition कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • if, as if , unless

Conjunction of concession or contrast

वे subordinating conjunctions जो  adverb clause of concession or contrast को introduce करते है Conjunction of concession or contrast कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • although, though, however

Conjunction of extent or manner 

वे subordinating conjunctions जो adverb clause of extent or manner को introduce करते है Conjunction of extent or manner कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • as , according as

Conjunction of comparison 

वे  subordinating conjunctions जो  adverb clause of comparison को introduce करते है Conjunction of comparison कहलाते है ।जैसे:-

  • As, than
